Closeup Reference Bill Beckley

Bill Beckley
He is an american photographer born in a small Amish town in Pennsylvania in 1946, He received a masters of Fine Arts from the Tyler School of Art, Temple University. The parts of his work that i am going to be focusing on are the closeups of still life. His work is alot like Karl Blossfeldt where he singles out small objects and really contrasts them against thebackground. However Beckley really exploits the colour where Blossfeldts has an eerie absence of colour.

Closeups Reference Jan Groover

Jan Groover
Groover was born April 24th 1943 and died January 1st 2012. Groover was an American photographer. Who artistic style was to focus on small objects in an indoor and relatively controlled environment. She was noted for her use of emerging colour technologies. I would like to capture the way that she makes a relatively everyday some may even say boring objects and bring the colours to life.

Closeups Reference Karl Blossfeldt

Karl Blossfeldt
Is a photographer born in June Schielo Germany June 13, 1864. Blossfeldt photography captures organic nature. Because of the era the photographs were taken, all of the photographs don’t have colour mainly because of the equipment available at the time. His photos create an eerie atmosphere and the white background really brings out the contrast in the images. I want the capture in my images the structure and form that Blossfeldt shows in his artwork.
